The Question We Get Before Anyone Books A Survey

Running costs follow how the unit is sized and how you use it.

Air conditioning installers often quote homes and small commercial spaces the same way: one unit, guessed at.

What people ask us first:

  • “Is air conditioning really expensive?”
  • “Is this just another box-swap?”

The bill depends on whether the unit matches the room, so we measure first, heating and cooling both. The survey and the quote cost nothing.

What Makes Our Air Conditioning Installations Different?

We measure the room before we pick the unit.

  • Every room sized for heating and cooling before we pick a unit

  • Mitsubishi air-to-air units, fitted by our own team

  • A fixed quote before work starts, survey included

  • Small offices sized the same way as a bedroom or lounge

The Room Picks The Unit

The room is measured first, then the unit is chosen, sited and commissioned to the numbers.

  1. The Room Is Measured First

Width, depth and height are marked out before anyone picks a unit for the room.

What’s Included in Our Air Conditioning Installation

One survey, one fixed quote and one company from start to handover, fitting Mitsubishi air-to-air units.

  1. Survey and Measure

Each room being heated or cooled gets measured, or the whole floor plan for small commercial jobs, before we choose a unit.

  2. Fixed Quote

The unit and the price get written down together. No survey-day surprises later.

  3. Clean Install

Pipework and wiring go in tidy, and the outdoor unit sits where it won’t become the neighbour’s problem.

  4. Commissioning

We set and test the system to the design numbers before handover.

  5. Aftercare

We explain the handover, talk through the controls, and set a reminder that arrives when your system next needs checking.

“My house is warmer with a heat pump than it was with a boiler”

Hear firsthand from our customer Fraser about how installing a heat pump has transformed his day to day living.

We’ve turned his cold 18th-century end terrace house into a comfortable, efficient home. No more waiting for the boiler to heat up the house in the morning.

Fraser’s property now sits at a consistent 19°C all year round.

  • How much does air conditioning installation cost?

The quote and the survey are free either way.

Your running cost afterwards follows the size of the unit against the size of the room, and how much you use it. We show you that before you commit.

HMRC zero-rates VAT on fixed, reversible air-to-air systems we supply and fit in eligible homes, under the energy-saving materials relief that runs to 31 March 2027. Portable units and supply-only orders don’t qualify. We confirm whether yours does at the survey.

  • Does it heat as well as it cools?

Air-to-air systems do both. The same unit that cools a room in summer runs the heating in winter. For radiators and hot water, you need an air source heat pump instead.

  • Do you do small commercial, or only homes?

Both. We do domestic air conditioning installation and small commercial work, and we’re keen to take on more of the commercial side. A work space gets measured and sized the same way as a house.

  • Will the unit be sized to my room, or whatever’s in the van that day?

We size the unit to the room. That’s the survey’s whole job, done before we quote anything.

  • What about noise from the outdoor unit?

On the units we fit, the outdoor unit runs at 46 to 52 dB and the indoor unit at 19 to 21 dB on quiet mode.

Common Questions About Air Conditioning

One day to one week, depending on the job. A single room sits at the one-day end, a whole house at the one-week end.

Yes. We size multi-room homes and full small commercial units room by room, the same survey either way.

Our office books it, and one company runs it from measurement to handover. Our base is New Mills in Derbyshire, and Glossop, Buxton and Marple sit on our doorstep.

Tell us that at the survey. We size and quote for the room you want now, and design so nothing needs redoing if you add rooms later.

We do, through our Air Conditioning Care Plans: AC Service, AC Care and AC Protect. Every tier includes one annual service and priority booking, for one indoor and one outdoor unit on a 12-month minimum agreement: AC Service from £35 a month including VAT, AC Care from £50, AC Protect from £65. AC Care and AC Protect add a contribution towards repairs.
