Does a heat pump need solar and a battery to work?
No, a heat pump stands on its own. We only design in a battery when your usage and tariff numbers support it.

Is a battery worth it for my house?
It depends on your usage pattern and tariff. Your quote shows the numbers, and for some houses the straight answer is to wait.

Can you fit a battery to solar you didn’t install?
Yes, you can add a battery to existing solar in most cases. We need the make of your existing panels first, because the battery has to match what’s on the roof, and for some systems that means a compatible battery rather than SolarWatt.

Does it pay better paired with a heat pump tariff?
Pairing with a heat pump tariff is where the numbers get good. If you’re heading that way, we design the battery for it now.

Who do I come back to if something goes wrong after the install?
Installation runs through our specialist install partner under our design and management, and our own engineer runs the job start to finish. If anything needs a second look you come back to us, the company that designed the system and managed the fitting.

Who handles the connection and export paperwork?
We do. The DNO application and the export paperwork stay in-house, the same way we run our heat pump jobs, with our specialist install partner where they are on the job. One company for you to come back to.

Yes. Mention it at the survey and we design the wiring and space for a battery from day one, so you don’t pay to redo it later. The full renewables package is on its own page.
Our office books the appointment, our engineer reviews your usage and designs the battery, and our specialist install partner carries out the fitting under that engineer’s management.
You get two, both in writing: our 2-year workmanship guarantee on the install, and the manufacturer’s 10-year product warranty and 12-year performance warranty on the battery itself, with 70% of its original capacity guaranteed at the warranty threshold. The guarantees section above sets both out.
