Heat Pump And Solar Panels With Battery Storage, Designed As One Whole-House System
One designer, one accountable company, one set of numbers that has to add up before you commit. Designed in New Mills for homes across the High Peak, Manchester and Sheffield.
Three Contractors, Three Quotes, And No Single Company Accountable For The Result
One system, designed once, with a single name on the whole thing.
Buy the heat pump, the solar and the battery from three renewable energy installers and each one sizes their bit alone. When the system underperforms, no single contract covers it.
What we hear from people planning the full job:
- “Heat pumps only work with solar and batteries.”
- “Will a small company an hour away actually turn up and stand behind it?”
The heat pump stands on its own, and solar panels and battery storage earn their place when the maths supports them. We design the full ticket as one system, heat loss first, with every part sized against the others and your tariff.
What Makes Our Full Package Different?

How the full system goes together
Heat pump, solar, battery and ventilation, designed as one system. This is the order we would build one in, each part sized from your survey.
-
Heating The heat pump and the underfloor heating that warm the rooms.
-
Hot water The cylinder that stores your hot water.
-
Solar and power Panels and a battery that cut what you buy.
-
Fresh air The unit that keeps a tight house ventilated.
-
Heating Step 1 of 6
Heat pump, outside
Sized to the rooms it has to heat, from the heat loss we measure on the survey.
-
Heating Step 2 of 6
Underfloor heating
Underfloor loops set out room by room and balanced at the manifold, so every room holds an even temperature.
-
Hot water Step 3 of 6
Hot water cylinder
A Stiebel Eltron cylinder sized to the household, so a morning of showers comes off one heat-up and the pump only warms the water you use.
-
Solar and power Step 4 of 6
Solar panels
We look at the roof and last year’s bills, and solar goes on once it earns its keep.
-
Solar and power Step 5 of 6
Battery
We work out what your tariff and your usage would save before a battery goes in.
-
Fresh air Step 6 of 6
Fresh-air unit
The ventilation (MVHR) a tightly built house needs once the other three are in.
The full system
Four parts, designed together and held to the same standard on every job.
What’s Included in Our Full Renewables Package
From the first measurement to a system that heats, cools and generates as one.

-
Free Design Survey
Our engineer measures the whole house, room by room, and asks how you live in it.
-
Whole-System Design
Heat pump, climate heating, solar and battery sized against each other, with running costs on paper.
-
Fixed Quote
One price for the whole system, written down before any work starts.
-
Installation, In The Right Order
Our engineers fit the heat pump and heating, and our specialist install partner handles the solar and battery installation to our design. We run the job, so first fix, panels and commissioning land in the right order.
-
Commissioning to the Design Numbers
Flow temperatures, generation and storage proved against the design before handover.
-
Handover and Aftercare
Warranties registered in your name, controls explained, and a reminder that arrives when the service is due.
Stiebel Eltron heat pumps, Virotherm climate heating, Mitsubishi MVHR, SolarWatt panels and SolarWatt batteries. The SolarWatt kit pairs with the Stiebel Eltron units by design.
Our Virotherm Heating And Cooling Job
Our lead engineer designed and fitted it.
A wet system runs through the walls and ceilings of the house. It heats in winter, cools in summer and runs at a low temperature. On a full-package job we design solar and battery in alongside a system like this one, sized against the same numbers.

Below 3.3, a heat pump costs more to run than gas. We design the whole system for 3.5 to 4.0, and the workings go in your quote.
“My house is warmer with a heat pump than it was with a boiler”
Hear firsthand from our customer Fraser about how installing a heat pump has transformed his day to day living.
We’ve turned his cold 18th-century end terrace house into a comfortable, efficient home. No more waiting for the boiler to heat up the house in the morning.
Fraser’s property now sits at a consistent 19°C all year round.
Whole-House System Doubts, Answered Straight
-
I’ve heard they’re really expensive to install.
They are a serious investment: a designed heat pump, solar and battery system typically runs from about £25,000 to £35,000 before the grant. The grant helps where you qualify (£7,500, or £9,000 for off-gas oil and LPG homes until 31 March 2027) and an MCS-certified installer claims it; ours is in progress. The design shows you what the system gives back before you decide.
-
Do I have to do it all at once?
No. Start with the heat pump installation and add solar later if that suits your budget better. Tell us now and we design for the later pieces, so nothing gets bought twice.
-
Won’t a system this bespoke be a nightmare to run?
You get one set of controls, explained at handover, and a person to ring. Running low and slow is the whole design philosophy.
-
Will you stand behind all of it?
The company that designed it answers for it, so there is no gap to fall into. Two years’ workmanship on all our new installation work, solar and battery included. It runs alongside the 5-year manufacturer warranty on the lead systems.
What about the grant paperwork?
Grant claims run through MCS certification, and ours is in progress. Ask at the survey and you get the current position, explained straight.
Common Questions About The Full Package
One week to one month, depending on the size of the house: a standard home sits at the short end, a large one at the long end. We agree the schedule in the quote before we start.
Sometimes not yet, and we say so. We size battery storage from your usage and tariff, and the numbers come with the quote.
New Mills and the Derbyshire High Peak on the doorstep, Glossop and Buxton included, and design surveys out to Manchester and Sheffield for full-package work. Leeds we cover for heat pumps, or heat pump and solar together.
Yes. We design Mitsubishi MVHR in where the house needs it, and MVHR installation has its own page if you want the detail.
Our office books you in, and the engineer who designs your job runs it through to handover.
Only where the design asks for them. The heat loss calculation names each radiator that stays and each one that grows, and Virotherm climate heating goes in where the design calls for it.
Usually not. On a house in England, rooftop solar panels and an air source heat pump count as permitted development, including in conservation areas and the Peak District National Park. A listed building needs planning permission first. In a conservation area the heat pump can’t go on a wall or roof facing the road, or closer to the road than the house. We check your address at the survey and design inside those limits, so you know before you sign whether anything needs to go to the council.
The quote sets out the order of work and how long each stage takes. We cover and protect the house and garden, and one company answers for the job from first fix to commissioning.
