Your Heat Pump Still Runs. It Has Drifted From The Numbers It Was Designed To.

A service puts your running costs and your warranty back where the design put them.

Flow temperatures creep, filters clog and the drift goes unnoticed until the bill arrives.

We check each visit against your original design SCOP and log the number year to year.

What Makes Our Heat Pump Servicing Different?

Our engineer checks the numbers your system was designed to, and writes them down.

  • Checked against the SCOP your system was designed to

  • A reminder arrives when the next visit is due

  • Heat pump maintenance work carries a 1-year warranty

  • Booked by our own office, with no call centre in between

The Number Your System Was Designed To

Every part the visit touches is checked against the SCOP your system was designed to, then logged.

  1. Designed To A Number

Each visit is checked against your original design SCOP, not a generic checklist.

    • House Wall
    • Plinth
    • Base Tray
    • Coil
    • Fan
    • Compressor
    • Refrigerant Lines
  2. Then It Drifts

Flow temperatures creep, filters clog and settings get nudged, all without a fault code.

    • Front Panel
    • Top Panel
    • Fan Guard
    • Coil Cleaner
    • Flow Pipe
    • Return Pipe
    • Filter
    • System Water
  3. 3.3 Is Where It Stops Paying

Designed to 3.5 to 4.0, a drifted system can sit near 3.3, where it stops beating gas on price.

    • Service Panel
    • Weather Compensation
    • Cable
    • Flow Temperature Probes
    • Thermometer
  4. The Number Goes Back On The Record

One overlooked setting can cost a winter of higher bills, so the number is logged at every visit.

What’s Included in Our Heat Pump Servicing

One visit, checked against your design numbers, logged so next year is one click away.

  1. Booking

Our office books the visit, and we send a reminder so it doesn’t slip a year.

  2. The Service Visit

The engineer cleans the coils and filters, doses the system water, sets the weather curve to your design and services the cylinder to G3.

  3. Settings Checked Against Your Design SCOP

Our engineer checks flow temperatures and controls against the numbers your system was designed to.

  4. Report and Recommendations

The engineer writes it up in plain English, and flags anything that needs attention before it costs you a winter.

  5. Reminder Set for Next Year

We set next year’s reminder, so the visit lands in your inbox instead of your memory.

All makes of heat pump, for servicing and repair. Vaillant and Stiebel Eltron are our specialisms.

The Service Numbers, On Paper

Three figures worth having before you book.

  • £192 to £420
Including VAT, depending on the system
  • 3.5 to 4.0
SCOP: the numbers a system is designed to
  • 2 to 3

“My house is warmer with a heat pump than it was with a boiler”

Hear firsthand from our customer Fraser about how installing a heat pump has transformed his day to day living.

We’ve turned his cold 18th-century end terrace house into a comfortable, efficient home. No more waiting for the boiler to heat up the house in the morning.

Fraser’s property now sits at a consistent 19°C all year round.

The Answers Before You Book

Illustration of an engineer's gloved hands drawing the sludge-coated magnet out of a heating system filter pot during a heat pump service
  • How much does an air source heat pump service cost?

£192 to £420 including VAT (£160 to £350 plus VAT), depending on the system. You hear the exact figure when you book.

  • What happens during the visit?

The engineer cleans the coils and every filter, checks the system water and doses it to the correct chemical levels, and balances the system. He then sets the weather-compensation curve to the designed temperature from your original design documents, whether they came with our own heat pump installation or another installer’s, and services the hot water cylinder to G3 requirements. You get the numbers written up before he leaves.

  • Do you service heat pumps fitted by someone else?

Yes. We service and repair all makes, whoever installed them. If you have the installer’s design documents, the engineer sets the weather-compensation curve to the temperature in them.

  • Will I forget to book the next one?

No. Once you’re booked in, the reminder comes to you, not the other way round.

  • Does a service protect my warranty?

The service record gives you the evidence trail a warranty claim asks for. The work itself carries its own 1-year warranty.

Heat Pump Servicing Questions

Allow 2 to 3 hours. The engineer works through the checklist, sets the curve against your design documents and writes the numbers up before leaving.

First Point is Gas Safe registered 930763, F-Gas certified and a Stiebel Eltron certified installer, with Heat Geek trained engineers, and the engineer who services your system is the one who already knows it.

Our doorstep patch runs New Mills, Whaley Bridge, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Buxton, Glossop, Hayfield, Marple and Disley. Ask us if you’re just outside it.

The engineer shows you what he has found and what it needs, and nothing goes ahead until you say so. Heat pump repairs are charged by the hour on site, £96 including VAT an hour (£80 plus VAT) in our local area, plus parts. If the fix needs a part, the engineer may need to come back once it arrives.

Once a year. Flow temperatures creep and filters clog slowly, so a yearly check catches the drift before your bills show it.

Maintenance work carries a 1-year warranty, and if anything squeaks afterwards we’re back the same week.

Yes. Part of the service is outdoors on the unit, and part is inside: the system water, the controls and the hot water cylinder, which gets serviced to G3 requirements.
